How did we go from such a great man, President and commander in chief (FDR) to the disgrace that now plagues 1600 Pennsylvania avenue!!!
I can only pray that visiting the hurricane Harvey victims in texas will somehow humble mr trump and cause him to gain some compassion and empathy for those less fortunate than him and his billionaire buddies and donors.
i leave you with this short Video from the Walton's - S9E2 The Outrage.
this episode portrays FDR for the great man he truly was to the american people
The Waltons - Season 9 Episodes 1&2 - THE OUTRAGE President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (64) born January 30, 1882, Hyde Park, New York and died April 12, 1945, Warm Springs, Georgia, is remembered in this episode as a man who loved all the people and its one of the only episodes where the good nights are not said by the family. "The train bearing the body of Franklin Delano Roosevelt moved slowly from Warm Springs, Georgia toward the nations capitol. Where ever it went, the people who loved him gathered to mark its passing, remembering the man who led the nation out of its most crippling depression and toward victory in its greatest war. Planting seeds of brotherhood along the way...when it passed through Charlottesville my family was there to pay their last respects " - Earl Hamner Jr. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, commonly known by his initials FDR, was the 32nd President of the United States. He served for 12 years and four terms, and was the only president ever to serve more than eight years. - Wikipedia
