I recommend this film be watch by everyone regardless of political leanings, it does not matter if you are conservative, middle of the road, liberal, democrat, independent, or republican. it's a definite eye opener on what is really going on in this country with healthcare vs. other countries. watchdocumentaries.com/sicko/

That's a long documentary so I couldn't sit for 2 hours but watched bits here and there and and got the main parts and this is what us in Canada have known all the time about the way it is in the US. We have heard the horror stories. The interviewer who was talking to the Canadian man who tore his arm tendon playing golf sums up why socialized health care is such a no no in the USA. Socialism is lumped together with communism as evil and you know this just the way that interviewer asked if he was socialist. Politicians in the USA mislead people about how it is citing long wait times etc but everyone gets treated according to the urgency of the situation. It's a shame that someone in the USA has to live in fear that if something happens to them that's no fault of their own they're screwed. What about all those people injured in storms, earth quakes mass shootings etc., should they be worried about medical bills that are a whole years salary? With all due respect for my American friends and neighbors the worst form of government is a country that has a survival of the fittest thinking. And again, with all due respect for my American neighbors, I'm so thankful that I live in a socialist country. When I needed cataract surgery to be able to see, it wasn't a choice between going blind if I couldn't pay. No one has to live in fear here...we aren't at the mercy of insurance companies who will get out of paying if they can to make bigger profits. And the most shocking thing is what I found out from a forum member at the ALPB anything goes section that he pays $4000 a month! and insurance doesn't kick in for the first $18,000!...I still can't wrap my head around this. Bernie Sanders Bill will never get to be reality because of the misguided fear of socialism. And I hate to say this.
