As a conservative, I partially resent that remark. Think what you will about Conservatism; that's up to you. However, I would suggest that it is no more a "disease" than Liberalism is "a mental disorder" (Michael Savage). It is simply a different kind of political philosophy than the one you, apparently, are used to. Live and let live, my friend...."don't hate, participate"!
my personal issue with modern conservatism is they keep trying to gut the benefits i rely on to stay mentally stable and physically healthy just so they can dole out trillions in tax breaks to those who are already well of. having numerous preexisting mental and medical conditions i can't afford my healthcare unless i was able to make $300k / yr at current cost of living prices. that will never happen even if i worked full time as a contract engineer. i currently work p/t as a contract engineer.
