i would be happy to acquire an X-Band station here in Denver and convert it to C-QuAM take the 1/4 wave stick to a half wave and run an open feeder line over a full 1/4 wave ground plane same setup that WSM has. i would get a BE cquam enabled solid state TX and run a pair of restored texar or gentner prisms feeding a restored 9100b2. and the good thing about the half wave is i can run less power to reach the required signal level for 10kW than i would have to running a 1/4 wave stick. i would also get a fm translator for the station utilizing a Nautel transmitter and old school texars feeding a 8100B into the nautel. i would run my variety format here in am stereo. i would feed the whole works with a 5GHz digital STL utilizing a barix 1000 in uncompressed wav over the 5G link and on the studio side feeding the STL would be an aphex compellor. i would have entirely digital studios right up to the stl studio end feed point. be the best sounding station in Denver with the most unique format. yes i have put a ton of thought into this. Sadly i do not have the $$$ to do any of this. Read more: alpb.boards.net/thread/2268/iheart-clear-channel-belly?page=1#ixzz58dOsTkYF
