this whole wall debate is silly!!! has been since trump first proposed it.
there is a very simple and cheaper solution to the whole illegal immigration issue. they are coming here because people are renting to them and hiring them. the more difficult you make it to obtain employment and housing the less they will come here and the more they will self deport.
i have stated on more than one occasion of the eVerify program already in place.
make it free and make it a simple web interface and mandate all employers and landlords utilize it in determining suitability of a potential renter or employee to be legally employed or rented to in the USA.
make the penalties very stiff for violators including but not limited to stiff fines, jail time, or loss of business or rental property for egregious repeat violators.
simple. the ones here will go home, and no more will come over!!!!
but neither party wants to do these simple steps for various reasons.
another big problem is the H1B Visa program workers under cutting Americans for jobs. this has to stop as well!!!!
